“I don’t give because I can, I give because I care” ~ Bernie.
Dr. Bernie MacIntosh has been practicing in Canada for the past five years. He grew up and Sydney Mines and is married with three girls and another precious baby on the way. Dr. MacIntosh enjoys the smaller hospital and the feeling of community at Northside General. His favorite part of his job is visiting patients at the hospital and looking out at the water. He attributes the great care his patients receive while in hospital to the incredible staff who provide his patients with care. Dr. MacIntosh is not only busy with his practice and family, but he also sits on the board for the Northside/Harbourview Hosptial Foundation and is a volunteer fire fighter. Dr. MacIntosh gives of his time, and provides gifts to the Northside/Harbourview Hospital Foundation because our hospitals care for his patients, his friends and his family.
