Supporting Healthcare at the Northside General Hospital and Harbourview Facility

The Northside/Harbourview Hospital Foundation was incorporated in August 1992 as a registered charity (registration number 892360769RR0001). We work together with residents, local businesses and community groups to raise funds for improved health care at the Northside General Hospital and Harbourview Facility, which serve approximately 30,000 residents.

While our primary focus is to help support these hospitals with much needed medical equipment, we also support Health Care Education, Early Cancer Prevention Clinics, Palliative Care and a Rehabilitative Department.

Foundations play an increasingly important role in Nova Scotia’s health care system not only for their financial support but also the link they provide between health care facilities and the community.

Our foundation supports two hospitals: the Northside General Hospital and the Harbourview Facility. These hospitals serve approximately 30,000 residents.
