Support for the Services We Count On
Gordon’s Story
I am an eighty-eight year old man with a number of health issues. I enjoy the Seniors Daycare Program because it gives me a reason to get up and get dressed. I wait for the taxi to take me to the Harbourview Hospital where I meet friends and when I arrive I am offered breakfast. I also like the exercise programs that loosen up my muscles. I learn exercises that can use at home. By going to the seniors program my caregiver David, and my wife too, have some time to shop, to go to meetings or just relax. Read more →

Working with residents, businesses and groups in the community to raise funds for the Northside Gene

Community Engagement class for their generous donation of $962.15 to the Wig Bank!
Through bake sales and carnival games, these students worked hard to raise funds in support of individuals in our community who rely on the Wig Bank during difficult times. Their efforts were so inspiring that one family was moved to match what the class raised—making an even greater impact.
And as promised, their teacher, Mr. Curtis Young, kept his word—if they reached their goal, he would shave his head! True to his promise, he followed through, adding a fun and memorable moment to an already incredible fundraising effort.
This wonderful act of fundraising shows compassion, leadership, and the incredible power of young people making a real difference in their community. Every dollar raised helps ensure that someone in need can access this important support without financial burden.
Thank you to this amazing class for choosing to make a difference. Your kindness will touch lives in ways you may never fully see, but it will always be deeply appreciated.
